Longtime Publisher Jim Adolph Rejoins Source Interlink Media Staff
Former Top Fuel Funny Car Driver takes over American Motorcycle Group
EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (December 1, 2011) – This week, Source Interlink Media welcomed back Jim Adolph as publisher of the American Motorcycle Group, which comprises Hot Bike, Hot Bike Baggers and Street Choppers magazines. Adolph previously served as publisher of Car Craft magazine for the company from the mid-’80’s through early ‘90’s and oversaw the launch of Chevy High Performance magazine and published Corvette Fever magazine.
Aside from his role as a magazine publisher, Adolph was a licensed Top Fuel Funny Car driver, competing professionally from the early ’70s all the way into the early ’90s.
His career as a driver lent itself perfectly to Adolph’s pursuits with the company; Car Craft magazine served as a drag racing publication for many years, instituting the 35-year Car Craft All-Star Drag Racing Program. Adolph was also the publisher of Drag Racing magazine in the late ’80s.
While his new role at Source Interlink Media may seem like a departure from his background in automobiles, Adolph is an avid motorcycle enthusiast and says he couldn’t be more excited. In fact, during his days as publisher of Car Craft and Drag Racing, he was asked to help launch HOT ROD Harleys, the company’s first V-Twin publication.
“Given my history with the company, I couldn’t be happier to be rejoining the staff at Source Interlink Media,” said Adolph. “Not only do I have a lot of friends and colleagues that are still here in the office, but now I also get to fuel a great passion of mine – motorcycles. I am certainly looking forward to this new position and it’s great to be back.”
