Publisher Services / Circulation
Publishers access Source’s broad range of services by working directly with one of our Publisher Services professionals. Each client publisher is assigned a Source Circulation Manager who serves as a true full-service partner, acquiring expertise in that publisher’s magazines, setting and carrying out circulation goals and conducting regular business reviews.
In addition, Circulation Management works with publishers to:
- Launch new titles
- Identify and obtain approval from appropriate retailers for newsstand distribution
- Create optimal store level distribution based on historical sales trends to present final print order
- Review special merchandising and display option
- Problem-solve and troubleshoot any issues with the product
In this collaborative process, our circulation managers and their clients access industry-leading tools, including MagVision, our comprehensive sales reporting system, available to our supplier partners with title/issue level information, including dealer distribution and ABC reports.
Whether a publisher is represented by a national distributor or distributes directly to the Source, their individual circulation manager is responsible for securing the appropriate services within our company and ultimately for the performance of their magazines in the retail marketplace.
Newsstand Launches
In spite of the still-growing importance of electronic content delivery and the strong position of subscription sales, in the magazine world, the newsstand is still a critical place for publishers. Single-copy sales can be an important profit center for a magazine, and gaining access to newsstand space can truly help define a publication’s success.
Source works closely with publishers looking to launch new titles and introduce magazines that meet consumer demand.
