SAIL Magazine Launches Redesign of sailmagazine.com
New site debuts “SAIL’s Charter Channel” video series
Boston, MA (November 28, 2011) – SAIL has announced the launch of their newly redesigned website at sailmagazine.com. Along with improved site navigation and expanded multimedia, sailmagazine.com integrates content from all SAIL media platforms–print, digital, and social. With the site redesign, SAIL is also debuting a new charter video series, SAIL’s Charter Channel, presented by the BVI Tourism Board.
The all-new sailmagazine.com not only features a fresh new look and navigation structure designed to enhance the user’s online experience, it introduces new content and search features. Marketplace, for example, allows users to search for products by marine category direct from the home page. A new “sailboat search” feature allows users to search an extensive archive of SAIL boat reviews and sailboats for sale, powered by Yachtcouncil.com. The site provides improved access to the ever-growing library of SAIL-created video content and encourages sailing community growth through reader interaction and social media.
“With the redesign of sailmagazine.com, we’re expanding SAIL’s online platform,” said Publisher Josh Adams. “More video and multimedia, easier site navigation, expanded community interaction, and searchable content are all features designed to improve the user and advertiser experience.”
SAIL’s Charter Channel will feature 12 video segments over six months with one launching every two weeks. The series is hosted by SAIL Associate Editor Meredith Laitos and set in the British Virgin Islands at the bases of leading charter companies. Charter subjects covered include choosing a charter boat, ownership options, provisioning, how to be a better charter captain, and more. The first segment, featuring CYOA Yacht Charters, can be viewed at sailmagazine.com/charter.
