Source Interlink Announces Two Strategic Appointments
Bonita Springs, FL (July 11, 2011) — Source Interlink Companies announced today, the appointment of two industry veterans to key strategic roles within the organization, which will align its Sales & Marketing teams so as to better focus on driving premium retail and media services that take full advantage of its enthusiast print brands, as well as, emerging media venues. Terry McGraw joins Source Interlink Companies as Senior Vice President Corporate Sales & Marketing. Steve Leach joins Source Interlink Distribution as Executive Vice President Retail Sales & Marketing. David Algire, President of Source Interlink Distribution stated: “This is the first in a series of announcements aimed at realigning our sales & marketing resources across all divisions of Source Interlink Companies. Our goal is to drive consumer connections through a number of newly created programs that take full advantage of understanding consumer behavior; how they shop and where….while at the same time looking to connect with them through new and emerging media platforms.” Both of these individuals will take lead roles within Source’s already seasoned executive team.
Terry McGraw joins Source Interlink Companies with over 30 years of sales & marketing experience in the world of consumer package goods. In his new corporate role, McGraw will lead a variety of teams including Corporate Promotions, Retail Trade Relations, Out of Home Advertising, Specialty Sales, as well as Source’s boutique single copy sales division, Retail Vision. He most recently served as Vice President, Retail Marketing for over 10 years at Comag Marketing Group (“CMG”). In that role, he was responsible for newsstand sales and retail marketing across numerous classes of trade including grocery, mass, drugstore and other specialty retail.
In addition, McGraw served as CMG’s primary liaison with numerous retail trade organizations. Prior to CMG, McGraw held various executive sales & marketing positions at Rayovac Corporation, Hershey, Frito-Lay and Duracell, USA. Steve Leach joins Source Interlink Distribution with over 30 years of sales & marketing experience in the retail distribution channel. He will be responsible for the Sales & Services division’s retail sales teams across all major traditional classes of trade. He most recently served as Vice President, Retail Marketing for over 11 years at CMG. In that role, he was responsible for single copy magazine sales across many classes of trade including grocery, mass, drugstore and other specialty retail. Prior to CMG, Leach held a variety of executive positions including VP and General Manager at The News Group; Director of Regional Sales for TV Guide Distribution and served as Vice President of National Accounts for Time Distribution Services. “Steve will bring a broad spectrum of experience to our organization that includes the perspectives of all supply chain partners including the publisher, national distributor and retailer. As our supply chain continues to work towards a more efficient and effective model, his experience will be invaluable.
