Source Interlink Companies’ David Buck Named Lee County AHA Volunteer of the Year
Bonita Springs, FL (December
21, 2011) – Source Interlink Companies’ Director of Asset Protection, David Buck, was selected as the 2011 Lee County American Heart Association Volunteer of the Year. Buck, who has been the campaign lead for the annual Lee County Heartwalk fundraising campaign for two years, was recognized for outstanding volunteerism and support of this annual effort, which raised a total of $391,659 in Lee County this year.
Under Buck’s leadership, Source Interlink teams in Bonita Springs raised a company-record $42,051 for the American Heart Association, an increase of $14,700 over last year’s efforts. Source placed 3rd overall and 1st among mid-sized companies for fundraising efforts in the Lee County, Florida area. With such success in one office, Source is hoping for a company-wide rollout next year.
The American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association are devoted to saving people from heart disease and stroke – America’s No. 1 and No. 4 killers. The Dallas-based American Heart Association is the nation’s oldest and largest voluntary organization dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke. The American Stroke Association is a division of the American Heart Association.
